Leeds United club captain Liam Cooper has spoken about the club's first signing of the January transfer window, Max Wober.
Some eyebrows were raised when the Elland Road club secured the versatile defender.
However, Cooper believes adding the ex-Red Bull Salzburg star is a step in the right direction, as it promotes competition for places.
"It's good, it's healthy competition," he told BBC West Yorkshire Sport Daily.
"I think any any competition at any level is always healthy, especially in a group like this.
“Max has come in and he's a lovely guy and the boys have took to him.
"We're quite an easy group to come in and and get along with.
“There's a lot of good lads down there and we're such a welcoming group so he'll have no problems that side of it."
