Leeds battling Bologna for Aberdeen fullback Calvin Ramsay

Leeds United are battling Bologna for Aberdeen fullback Calvin Ramsay.

The Whites are said to be keen admirers of the highly-rated young defender but are not the only team looking to sign him in the next couple of days.

The Scottish Sun reported that Bologna have submitted a bid of £4.8m after seeing their earlier £3.5m bid rejected by Aberdeen.

The SPFL side are preparing to receive a £5m bid from Leeds before the window closes, according to the Daily Mail and his team mate, Ross McCrorie, has said the interest won't be affecting Ramsay.

“For Calvin, and any top player, there is going to be speculation," he told the Press and Journal. “A player like Calvin takes it in his stride.

“He has been brilliant for us this season and long may it continue – he is a top quality player. It (speculation) doesn't affect Calvin – it is part and parcel of football.

“Calvin's whole focus will be on St Johnstone and as a player that kind of stuff doesn't really affect him. His focus is on the next game and Aberdeen just now."
