Lee claims to have extended his Bolton stay

South Korea midfielder Lee Chung-Yong is reported to have inked a new three-year contract at Bolton Wanderers. Sources from Goal.com Korea say Kim Seung-Tae, CEO of Lee's representatives, TI Sports, told reporters at Incheon international airport that he met Trotters chairman Phil Gartside in China and signed a contract.

Lee, who played 40 games for the Trotters, scoring five goals and supplying eight assists last season, spoke to reporters at the airport before flying back to UK.

He said: "Bolton's goal this season is to stay in the EPL [Premier League] but I would like to lead Bolton to mid-table."
