Lecce are wrapping up a deal for Barcelona defender Samuel Umtiti.

The operation, as confirmed by Lecce president Saverio Sticchi Damiani, is not yet closed. There are still details to be agreed between the clubs and, obviously, Umtiti must pass his medical tests.

Barca want to be paid a fee match by match, as opposed to releasing the defender from his contract.

Umtiti will travel to the southeast of Italy this Tuesday.

The defender has Barça's permission not to train today and will travel to Lecce when necessary to complete his loan.
