Lecce sports chief Pantaleo Corvino has urged Napoli fans to be patient with new coach Rudi Garcia.

Corvino is convinced Garcia will prove a good replacement for title-winning coach Luciano Spalletti.

He said on Radio Kiss Kiss: "If you look at the Italian championship, divide it into grids, Napoli is part of the first grid. The previous cycle with (Cristiano) Giuntoli and Spalletti ended with the Scudetto. Now a new one has started with difficulties, it's not easy to continue win.

"With another cycle there must necessarily come a moment of suffering, it is normal for there to be a moment of difficulty. Napoli is part of the first grid, then there are other places that have the same objectives as Napoli. You also need to have patience and understand the moment, there are others too, you can't think of always being winners.

"It's not easy to start again with new men and win immediately. Having protagonists from the previous cycle doesn't help you, maybe they can have a full belly.

"He (Garcia) only lost one match, there's no need to make a drama. We need to support the new cycle and not be pessimistic."
