Lecce signing Samuel Umtiti has paid tribute to Barcelona.

Umtiti has posted a message on his Instagram account thanking Barça fans.

"I want to thank FC Barcelona and all its fans for the great years we have lived together, I wish you the best this season," he said.

The Frenchman began the message with expressions of gratitude to the Lecce supporters who met him upon his arrival in Italy.

"I'm still assimilating everything I experienced yesterday," he added. "Thank you for the affection with which you received me, I'm excited and eager to start competing with this club".

The post was accompanied by an image of Umtiti himself with the training shirt. The Frenchman seems to have found happiness again with this new start in his football career.
