Southampton legend Matt Le Tissier has questioned the decision to send goalkeeper Fraser Forster on-loan to Celtic.

Forster has excelled recently during his loan spell with Celtic, and Saints have the option of recalling the England goalkeeper next month.

Speaking on Sky Sports, Le Tissier said: "I'd have imagined that bringing back Fraser Forster would've been in Ralph's thoughts.

"Both the goalkeepers have struggled at times this season [Alex McCarthy and Angus Gunn], and with the form Fraser's been in at Celtic, I'm surprised that he's not being considered for a return."
