Le Havre midfielder Pape Gueye is rethinking his Bosman move to Watford.
The Hornets last week announced an agreement over a five-year deal with Gueye, though this was later disputed by Perre-Henri Bovis, the player's lawyer.
He stated, "Nothing has been completed yet. We have a kind of contract dating from January. Watford communication doesn't change anything for us."
Indeed, Le Phoceen says Gueye is now eager to break the arrangement and seek a move elsewhere.
The youngster has concerns about his playing his chances at Vicarage Road, with Abdoulaye Doucouré or Etienne Capoue well established in Watford's midfield.
Olympique Marseille are monitoring developments closely.
