Lazio president Claudio Lotito is convinced Mauro Zarate will prove a top drawer signing.

Lotito said of the former Birmingham City striker: "He is 21 years old, has big room for improvement and wants to fight to the end.

"Of course, he must adapt to Italian methods and our schemes but, once he has fully absorbed how to play Italian football, he will help create a trio of top-level strikers with Goran Pandev and Tommaso Rocchi."
