Lazio president Claudio Lotito has ruled out Pedro returning to Barcelona.

Lotito has told Il Messaggero that Lazio have already activated an option to extend his stay at the club by one more season.

Pedro, 35, had spoken about his possible return to Camp Nou at the end of this season, but the president says it's now "impossible".

“A return to Barcelona is impossible," said Lotito.

"The contract has been renewed already, there is an option in favour of the club and I won't let this champion go."
