Lazio president Claudio Lotito says Cristian Ledesma can play again for the club.

The Argentine midfielder has been frozen out since the summer over a contract dispute and recently lost his legal action against the club.

"I am a fervent Catholic and as such have always been fond of the parable about the Prodigal Son," explained Lotito.

"I am ready to meet with Ledesma and have never taken any position against Cristian.

"Up until now we have only ever reacted to the attitude of the player towards us."
