Lazio president Claudio Lotito hopes to wrap up a deal for on-loan Al Sadd striker Mauro Zarate in the coming days.

"I am off to Qatar," Lotito declared on Radio Radio yesterday. "I want to bring back a result just as my team did yesterday."

"Now there are lots of offers on the table for Zarate after his brilliant season in Italy," a statement from Al Sadd reads.

"But after the agreement with Lazio last summer prior to his loan, they will have first refusal for a transfer.

"However, Zarate's qualities will allow the club to ask for a high price for his services."
