Lazio president Lotito happy with Cisse signing coup

Lazio president Claudio Lotito has welcomed the signing of Panathinaikos striker Djibril Cisse.

The former Liverpool striker completed his transfer from Panathinaikos for €5.8m spread out over three years.

He flew in to Rome this morning and was welcomed by 300 fans before passing his medical and penning a four-year contract, said to be worth €2.1m per season.

"Klose is German and represents an austere style, so you can tell how reserved he is," said President Lotito.

"Cissè, on the other hand, stands out with his extrovert nature. Both are important players, but individuals must be put towards helping the collective. There are no idols."

The patron assured there would be no vast spectacle to welcome Cissè.

"That's not my style, as I am more pragmatic. I'll present him to fans the same way I present everyone."
