Lazio have expressed interest in Independiente striker German Denis.

The 26 year-old is seen by Lazio as an alternative to Tommaso Rocchi, who is stalling on signing a new contract.

It's emerged that Lazio have failed with a £4 million offer for Denis, with Independiente president Julio Comparada demanding closer to £8 million for the former Cesena flop.

Fiorentina are also following the situation closely.
