Lazio goalkeeper Ivan Provedel understands coach Maurizio Sarri being angry after defeat to Feyenoord.

Feyenoord were comfortable 3-1 winners in last night's Champions League clash.

Provedel said: "Tonight, first of all, we have to think that we weren't perfect in all aspects, which instead they were enough. This comes at a price in the Champions League, because the level is high. We just have to congratulate them, then think about ourselves, to the fact that the approach must be much more determined, I'm sure we'll show it in the next home match.

"You must never make a mistake in your approach. It can happen, maybe the opponent starts off strong and is okay with it. You can't be dominant all the matches, for 90 minutes. The fact is that we gave them too much and then yes there's the reaction in which we reopened the match. Maybe you make it 3-2, there's not much left and you can even turn it around.

"Unfortunately football is made up of episodes. We gave them too many and we didn't exploit them, the result is right."

On Sarri, he added: "He is rightly angry because we were not as impeccable and ferocious as we should be to bring the points home."
