Lazio chief Igli Tare remains determined to keep hold of Sergej Milinkovic-Savic.

The midfielder is again being linked with a move away.

"He arrived here as a kid and is now an adult man, a father," Lazio director Tare told Mozzartsport.

“After eight years, he is an important person for us, not just a player. This is what I appreciate the most about him, he is such a humble human being, never arrogant or presumptuous.

“If I had a daughter, I'd want her to marry him. Is that clear enough on how much I like him? Sometimes after a match, he will come to me and ask if he did well or badly. I always reply he can do better and then he laughs that I am never satisfied.

“I warn him to keep looking forward and that he really can still improve as a player."
