Lavezzi targets Euro breakthrough with Napoli

Napoli midfield ace Ezequiel Lavezzi insists they can crack Europe this season.

The Azzurri have turned around their season since the arrival of coach Walter Mazzarri.

"My big objective is to go to the World Cup in South Africa and I will do everything possible to get into Maradona's squad. But I also have another big desire: to play in the European Cup with Napoli," said Lavezzi.

"They treat me very well there and for me it's become a second home. I have consolidated myself in the Italian championship."

Asked about rumours linking him with a move away from the San Paolo, Lavezzi said: "For now I am a Napoli player and I don't think about anything else. There are always rumours. In case there should be something more concrete then we will speak about it with the club and see what is best for everyone.

"I have a contract until 2013 and there is the intention to prolong it, even if all will have to be analysed well. Anyway, all in due course. Now I want to enjoy the present and give my best with Napoli to win a place in the Argentina squad."
