FC Laval are coy over youngster Francis Coquelin's move to Arsenal.

Coquelin is understood to be signing a long-term deal with the Gunners this week after undergoing a medical on Tuesday.

A statement on the Laval website read: "We are hearing here and there different destinations for different transfer fees.

"The truth of the moment it that Francis Coquelin is free.

"Nothing more links him with MFC, as a consequence his future club have no obligation to pay an education fee."
