Swansea City boss Michael Laudrup refuses to pay over the odds for Real Betis midfielder Jose Canas.

The La Liga outfit rejected an £800,000 offer for defensive midfielder Canas, who is out of contract this summer.

"We don't desperately need a player to come in by the end of January," he said.

"From the end of this month we will only be playing at weekends as we are not in Europe. It might be we just say we can wait until the summer."
