Late Terry header earns Chelsea the victory over Man Utd

Chelsea extend their lead at the summit of the Premiership to five points after a fortunate 1-0 win over rivals Manchester United at Stamford Bridge. This was the Blues tenth straight home win and will have aggrieved Manchester United who looked to be heading for a point after a dogged defensive display.

Reds boss Sir Alex Ferguson will also feel an injustice with the free kick which led to John Terry's 76th minute winner.

Darren Fletcher, who had a fine game, appeared to have won the ball cleanly from Ashley Cole and that Didier Drogba was in an offside position as Terry's header found the back of the net.

However, the Champions lacked a cutting edge and Chelsea shaded on chances created but this result is a major blow to the Reds retaining their Premiership crown.
