Late Robinho goal saves Man City away to Blackburn

Manchester City have been saved by an injury-time goal to Brazilian star Robinho as they drew 2-2 with Blackburn at Ewood Park.

Blackburn striker Benni McCarthy put the home side in front prior to half-time and it looked like another humiliating defeat for Mark Hughes' men when Jason Roberts took the advantage to two goals with just six minutes remaining.

But City then completed the great escape when Daniel Sturridge restore hope in the 88th minute and then Robinho slotted past Paul Robinson to earn the visitors a crucial point.

City managed to move up a position on the table after Newcastle's heavy defeat to Liverpool and now find themselves in 13th position whilst the Rovers are languishing deep in the relegation zone.
