Sunderland midfielder Sebastian Larsson was impressed by Alfred N'Diaye in victory over West Ham United.
N'Diaye came on as a substitute in the second half as the Black Cats eased to a 3-0 home victory over West Ham.
Larsson said: "Alfred is a completely different type of player to what we have already which is brilliant.
"We need that kind of competition for places in the squad. He looks like a player that is going to do good things for us."
