Joan Laporta has declared he intends to stand again for the Barcelona presidency. Laporta has blasted Sandro Rosell's management of the club and says he has the support of major Barca powerbrokers to challenge.

"I think I'm ready to be president again, I have people linked to me to help us re-build a model of success for the club," said Laporta.

"I know how to do it, as I have had this responsibility and I think I know what's best for the organization."

Laporta continued: "It's surprising, or ridiculous, wishing to modify a model of success, and he (Rosell) seems to be obsessed with destroying everything we built.

"They've kept the sports theme because it was so unpopular to change, but they are not genuine supporters of this style of playing football."
