Tottenham midfielder Erik Lamela is excited about their prospects going into the final stretch of the season.

The Argentine is delighted to be fully fit at this stage of the campaign.

Lamela told the Mirror: “We have a lot of games and you know that sometimes you will start, sometimes not, but the important thing is to do what you need to do for the team.

“I feel good, now is coming the most important part of the season as we reach the end and I'm working to be ready for this period that's coming.

“I think I'm happy that the team is doing well and the most important period is coming and we need to be ready.

“We are very strong mentally, together as a team, we have a very good team and have had a good season in the Premier League and I hope we can go further in the Champions League, too.

“We've shown our spirit because we've won a lot of games late on. We've won in the last minute but we'd worked hard for 90 minutes to win through - and then ended up doing it at the end.

“We showed our spirit at Fulham away, Watford at home. These are the games at the end of the season and the points will be very important."
