Former Borussia Dortmund midfielder Paul Lambert says tonight's clash will be a test of mental strength for Newcastle United's players.
Newcastle are in Dortmund tonight for their latest Champions League group clash.
Lambert told ChronicleLive: "Teams can capitulate in front of it.
"If you keep the pressure on at that end, the support suck it in. It's the same nowadays as what it was in my day.
"It's an intimidating stadium because you don't have any running track. They are right on top of you. There are 81,000 people who go to watch them.
"The great thing about Borussia Dortmund, though, is the colour. They don't go and stand there in black - it's yellow and black. That colour stands out. It's been the same for years and years and years. It's a special club, but the support? Dear, oh dear.
"When you go to stadiums, especially in Britain, it's a different atmosphere. In Germany, it's constant, constant, constant. You sometimes get a lull in England, but you never get that there - it's always bang on it. The fans are always vocal with the team."
