LaLiga invites media rights offers for outside of Spain

LaLiga, the organisation which oversees the top two divisions of Spanish club football, has launched a second tender process for its media rights outside of Spain, reports SportBusiness.

The second phase of commercialisation of LaLiga's international media rights concerns markets in Europe, Asia and Oceania.

Markets included under the new tender are: Afghanistan, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Estonia, Georgia, Italy, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Poland, Portugal, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine and Uzbekistan.

Also included in the tender are: Australia, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Hong Kong, India, Maldives, Myanmar, Nepal, New Zealand, Pacific Islands, Pakistan, Philippines, Sri Lanka and Vietnam. Bids will be accepted through to February 5.

The second phase comes after LaLiga last month launched a tender process for media rights in Europe.

The tenders include rights to games from the top-tier Primera División, along with the play-off matches that determine promotion to the league and additional programming.
