After making his LA Galaxy debut yesterday in front of Steve McClaren, David Beckham assured the England boss he would be fit for their Euro2008 qualifiers.
"That is the only way for him to be confident I can be in the next squad. But if everything goes to plan with the games we've got over the next week then that will be all good."
Beckham, 32, is likely to make another substitute appearance against New England Revolution tomorrow - the first of three games in six days.
He is hoping to win his 97th cap when McClaren's side take on Germany at Wembley on August 22.
Becks added: "I'm in a league that is different standard to what I've played but feel I can still make a difference with England."
