LA Galaxy's Donovan: Our job just got easier with ex-Tottenham striker Keane

Landon Donovan says that LA Galaxy's pursuit of the 2011 MLS Cup has got a whole lot easier now that Robbie Keane is at the club. The Republic of Ireland striker landed in Los Angeles from English Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur last week and immediately made an impact with a goal on debut in the weekend's 2-0 home win over San Jose Earthquakes.

Donovan feels that Keane's presence will improve the Galaxy side who won last season's Supporters' Shield but fell short in the Western Conference final against FC Dallas.

"In my opinion our job got easier by bringing in Robbie here," Donovan said.

Donovan, Keane and the Galaxy currently sit on top of the MLS table ahead of the weekend's massive clash with Thierry Henry's New York Red Bulls.
