Los Angeles Galaxy midfielder Riqui Puig has taken a swipe at Barcelona after Gerard Pique's retirement announcement.

Puig paid tribute to his former Barca teammate this morning.

He said, "Mito, thank you very much for these years. You are an example for all the Catalans who have enjoyed since childhood all the titles you have won. How you have made us enjoy!

"Those of us who love and admire you are sad not only because you are leaving the first team but also for the treatment you have received lately.

"Good luck and see you soon! We are waiting for you".
