Kuyt refutes Mourinho’s criticism of Liverpool
Dirk Kuyt has responded to Jose Mourinho's claims that Liverpool are in decline, stating that they can still win trophies.
The Real Madrid boss launched an attack on former Reds boss, and his successor at Inter Milan, Rafa Benitez earlier in the week, claiming that he had weakened the Reds since taking over.
Kuyt has yet to win a trophy since moving to Anfield four years ago, but he insisted that they will be among the contenders at least for a UEFA Champions League place this time around.
"For me it's all about the future," said Kuyt.
"You can look back in the past and think about things that went wrong and what we couldn't achieve.
"But you must look to the future and I think that the future will be OK. We will work really hard and challenge for trophies.
"These days it's more difficult because more and more clubs are trying to challenging for the top-four spots, but we will be there as well.
"We will be working really hard and maybe with one or two new players everything will look much better.
"I know everyone has been thinking about our 3-0 defeat to Manchester City, but one game doesn't change things."

no one cares what mourinho says. He is just a managerial slut! The only thing bigger than his pay cheque is his mouth and ego! Only goes to clubs with spending power. If he was any good, he would take a mid table team on a limited budget to the top, not a top team already. Porto, chelsea, inter and now madrid prove it! Mourinho as a manager is a fraud! Until he takes an average team on a limited budget and makes them champions, he will always be a fraud!
i think you all make a mistake, kuyt say think about the future not in the past..the reason liverpool failing is because our owner american not banitez, they do us nothing in transfer market in 3 year and can't afford build stadium, we got play by the yanks.
