Kuyt insists Liverpool in Europa League to win it
Dirk Kuyt insists Liverpool will enter the Europa League with the intention of winning it.
Kuyt insists the Reds will be going all out to bring the trophy to Anfield to ensure a successful conclusion to 2009-10.
He told liverpoolfc.tv: "We will take it seriously. Liverpool are a club who want to win trophies, and the Europa League is a good trophy to win, so we want to go for it and win it.
"We want to win as many trophies as possible. Everyone knows the season so far has been disappointing, but we want to change things and make the best of it.
"If you look at the teams who are in it at the moment, and some of the teams who could go into it from the Champions League, it could make for an interesting tournament.
"The season's not over by a long way. We definitely want to finish in the top four and win trophies.
"The Europa League is one and the FA Cup is coming up too. We want to show our best form and you never know what will happen."

With all due respect, Dirk Kuyt, you are a very hard working player. Without match sharpness, what is the point working hard on the pitch, running around, trying to win any loose ball but without end RESULT. In terms of putting the ball behind the net or a fatal pass. And with Lucas "The Brazilian" around, we won't win anything. And "IF" we do win something, I don't think he will have any contribution to that match except for being in the field.
Kuyt has been abysmal all season. He's had his time at Anfield, at 29 and with no pace he cannot continue as a "winger". Thanks Dirk and goodbye in the summer. Probably with your two lovers, Rafa and Lucas. What a dour threesome.
