Nottingham Forest have failed in their bid to land a trio of Kuwaiti players.
Striker Bader Al-Mutawa, central defender Hussein Fadel and goalkeeper Khalid Al-Rashidi were all set to link up with Forest following the takeover by Kuwaiti family the Al Hasawis.
But the trio, who have been trialling with the Championship club, have been refused work permits by the Home Office and are unable to sign as Forest players, forcing them back to the Middle East without a UK contract.
