Kulusevski defends Tottenham after recent stumbles

Premier League giants Tottenham have not been performing well enough in recent weeks.

That is the view of midfielder Dejan Kulusevski, who has his theory for their underperformance.

Kulusevski believes he and his teammates are not working hard enough, as they lost 2-1 to Wolves in the Premier League on Saturday.

“It's the worst [feeling]," said Kulusevski post-game.

“There's nothing worse than losing, so it was very tough. We're not playing good enough, we have to get better.

“We have two weeks now to work on that, and come back a bit better."

Kulusevski added: “[My goal] gave us hope, for sure. After that we played really well, had a lot of chances but didn't score. Then [there was] not enough discipline when we lost the ball.

“They had two or three counter-attacks where we were not good enough, and then they made us pay. We were too many guys up front. We were too open and not running back as hard as maybe we should. They scored a couple, and that's not good enough.

“This league is very hard. Every game if you're not playing very well then it's difficult to win. We knew Wolves were very good in their counter-attacks, so we should handle it much better."
