Tim Krul is ready to step in to cover crocked No1 Steve Harper at Newcastle United.
The Dutch Under-21 international was always poised to start Wednesday's Carling Cup tie at Chelsea, while Swede Ole Soderberg is in line to be on the bench.
Krul had been playing for United's second string last week against the Blues, but now faces a third game in six days.
The Dutchman told the Evening Chronicle: "It's just a crazy, unbelievable game isn't it? On Thursday I was playing in the reserves and then on Saturday in the Premier League for my debut.
"It's been a dream come true to play in the Premier League and something I have dreamed of all my life.
"It's what I've been training for, for many years, and it's great it's come true."
