Kompany remaining positive despite Man City's defeat at Napoli

Manchester City's job of qualifying for the next phase of the Champions League was made much more difficult with a 2-1 loss to Napoli last night.

The defeat leaves City sitting third in Group A and requiring a win against group leaders Bayern Munich at home on December 7 but skipper Vincent Kompany is remaining positive despite the enormity of the task.

"It is by far the hardest group in the Champions League. It was never going to be easy and always a case of going to the last game," the 25-year old told skysports.com.

"I wouldn't say qualifying is a miracle because all Villarreal need is a draw (at home against Napoli) and Villarreal is a difficult away game.

"We've got to focus on our game and try to beat Bayern Munich."
