Koln chief Schmadtke demands Liverpool get serious about Horn

FC Koln chief Jorg Schmadtke has pleaded with Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp to put them out of their misery.

Klopp is mooted to have made FCK goalkeeper Timo Horn is top keeper target for the summer market after having him watched by Reds scout Dave Fallows last week.

Horn's deal carries a temporary buyout clause of €9 million, which Klopp is expected to soon trigger. The option will disappear in the coming weeks as Schmadtke insisted on total focus from Horn for preseason.

Asked about Klopp's interest, Schmadtke told BILD: "For me, it is crucial when a letter from a club lands on my desk or the player's agent calls me for an inquiry.

"Both have not yet happened."
