Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has revealed that Dejan Lovren missed the clash against Burnley due to a muscle problem.
Lovren had returned to the bench for Liverpool's 3-1 victory over Arsenal a few weeks ago but the Croatian international was surprisingly omitted from the starting line-up prior to the Reds' encounter against Burnley on Sunday.
Klopp has now provided an update regarding Lovren and has explained that the centre-back did not feature against Burnley as he had picked up an injury during training.
Klopp told Sky Sports: "He got a dead leg in his back when we were working on set pieces.
"The muscle is now very sore."
