Klopp tipped 'to do a Fergie' at Liverpool

Former Newcastle captain Lee Clark believes Jurgen Klopp could yet stay with Liverpool.

Klopp has announced he will step down as manager at the end of the season.

But Clark told William Hill: "What's happened in the last week, with Michael Edwards coming in, could be a way of trying to persuade Jurgen to change his mind about leaving

“He was a massive part of bringing in the likes of Alisson, Virgil van Dijk and Mohamed Salah to Liverpool. Jurgen had a great relationship with him and he speaks very highly of him.

“He seems like the type of person who would stick to his word, but then even Sir Alex Ferguson changed his mind about retiring didn't he! Then he went on to build another team that was very successful."
