Klopp 'pressuring board' to deal in Liverpool veteran Milner

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is eager to see James Milner handed a new contract.

The veteran's current deal is expiring in June and Football Insider is reporting Klopp wants to keep the veteran.

The German has put pressure on the board to offer Milner a new contract.

Klopp feels that Milner's leadership on and off the pitch is crucial for the dressing room. And he has concerns knowing Aston Villa and Leeds are keen.

Milner arrived at Liverpool in the summer of 2015. He has made two assists in 32 competitive appearances this season, eleven of which were starts.
