Jurgen Klopp was left to bemoan yet another match on Liverpool's growing fixture list.
The Reds drew 0-0 with West Ham United in the fourth round of the FA Cup on Saturday to add a replay to their heavy schedule which will now see them play seven matches in February.
Liverpool have Premier League fixtures along with the Europa League and the FA Cup replay plus the Capital One Cup final against Manchester City on February 28, making it a difficult time for Klopp and his squad.
The former Borussia Dortmund boss, who is not used to such a cluttered agenda, feels the increasing pressure of playing every few days may start to get his players.
"In the cup you can do it like this, but you can't in the Premier League. This (the league) is the main tournament – and you have to take everything you can get," he said.
"When I heard after the last Leicester game Ranieri say, 'Now we have three days off', I thought 'Oh my God I hope my players didn't hear this because in three days off we would miss two games!'
"It's not possible in our situation, and it's not easy.
"With this situation you have to be realistic, picking out the things we did good, knowing what is possible for the team with all these games. Only one other team in the Premier League has this intensity, but we still try and give everything, and that's what I really like about my team.
"That is what I have learned up until now about my team, and I think we can take the next step when we have the time to work on it!"
