Klinsmann confident with current USA squad ahead of Panama clash

Juergen Klinsmann seems to be fairly satisfied with the players he has at his disposal within the USA national team.

The US side are sitting second on the CONCACAF hexagonal World Cup qualifying group after Friday's 2-1 win over Jamaica in Kingston as they prepare for Tuesday's clash with Panama in Seattle.

Klinsmann has sent Danny Williams back to Hoffenheim because of fitness issues, is unlikely to start Herculez Gomez and will be without the suspended Graham Zusi but is happy with his depth.

"We're good with the squad we have," said Klinsmann who may also lose Jermaine Jones, who was concussed on Friday.

"There's no need to bring in more players as of today. Even if we don't dress 23, we're covered everywhere."

However, Klinsmann did admit that being without the ever-improving playmaker Zusi was a big loss.

"It's a pity because he's in really good shape right now," Klinsmann said of the Sporting Kansas City ace.

"Not only is he providing great assists for Jozy [Altidore], but his overall game is really sharp. It's a bummer for him, but this is what happens. There are enough players on our roster that can cover him up."
