Dave Kitson says the pressure is mounting on Reading as they prepare for another massive test this Saturday when Liverpool visit the Madejski Stadium.
The Royals are still searching for their first away win this season and Kitson believes it is putting more pressure on the team when they play at the Madejski Stadium.
They are now facing a make-or-break spell over the next three matches which include home games against unbeaten Liverpool and Sunderland, plus a trip to Birmingham City.
Kitson added: "There was a lot of pressure on the Boro game. When you lose your away games the home ones become that much more important.
"It's been building up each week because the league is starting to pan out now and there's a bit of a gap from 10th place down. It's difficult to make that up and you know you need points at home. It might have got to us a little bit."
