Wigan Athletic goalkeeper Chris Kirkland is convinced they'll defeat Reading this weekend and assure Premiership safety.

"We will give it everything we have got and, hopefully, there will be a lot of smiles at the final whistle," he said. "In the last six at home, we have won four, drawn two and only conceded one goal, so, if we keep that going, we will be okay."
