The agent of Philippe Coutinho admits he prioritised a return to England this month.

The Barcelona midfielder has signed for Aston Villa on-loan to June, with a permanent option included.

Of the former Liverpool star's motivations, Kia Joorabchian told talkSPORT: "When we discussed in January to tell Barcelona that we wanted to move, it was for the Premier League, we didn't really consider the other leagues.

"It's a championship where he feels most comfortable. He really wanted to come back, he missed it.

"He played in Germany, he had a good season, he won the Champions League, he won the championship, he had a good experience in La Liga, but in the end, the Premier League, with the intensity of the matches, that's where he wanted to go."
