Keane wants Spurs Cup win for Gazza

Robbie Keane wants to win the Carling Cup final for former Tottenham hero Paul Gascoigne.

Tottenham face Chelsea at Wembley tomorrow, looking to land their first trophy for nine years.

White Hart Lane legend Paul Gascoigne played for the club between 1988 and 1991 but is recovering in a mental unit after being sectioned this week.

Striker Keane said: "Every player has respect for Paul for what he has done in football.

"We wish him well and we will be doing our best for everyone associated with Tottenham Hotspur against Chelsea.

"I am a massive, massive fan of his. I looked up to him as a player and had the pleasure of meeting him on my holidays and saw what a lovely fella he was."

Gazza, 40, was sectioned under the Mental Health Act following an incident at a Tyneside hotel on Wednesday.
