Kawasaki Frontale's Jong Tae-se targeting win over Melbourne

Kawasaki Frontale striker Jong Tae-se knows his side needs to defeat the Melbourne Victory in tonight's Asian Champions League clash at Todoroki Stadium.

The North Korea international, who is one of the key players for the Japanese club, understands that a win is vital to keep Frontale's hopes of progressing to the next stage of the competition alive.

The J-League outfit are currently on the bottom of Group E after losing both of their matches but are eyeing a win against the Victory with Jong remembering a good day for the club against another Australian team in last year's version of the ACL.

"We must win this match if we want to go to the second round," he told Goal.com. "We haven't had the results we wanted so the game at home is very important.

"I think that Central Coast Mariners underestimated us (last year)," added Jong.

"But Australian teams are physically strong and tall. They don't have the technique of Japanese or Korean players but with more experience and time, they will be a force."
