Kawasaki Frontale came from a goal down to eventually defeat Omiya Ardija 3-1 in the J.League. Naoki Ishihara opened the account for Omiya in the 31st minute for his third of the season and the score remained at 1-0 until half an hour later.

Kawasaki managed an equaliser from a counter attack through Chong Tese in the 62nd minute before Hiroyuki Taniguchi headed home three minutes from time.

A minute later, Brazilian forward Juninho made it 3-1, breaking the hearts of the Omiya players.
