Roma defender Rick Karsdorp has produced a medical certificate to justify going AWOL from training this past week.

Karsdorp is back in Holland after a bust-up with Roma coach Jose Mourinho.

Gazzetta.it reports he has now sent a medical certificate to Roma regarding his absence, citing 'a psychological illness' signed by a doctor.

It's suggested Roma have accepted the report and offered to help Karsdorp, but he must return to the club.

For his part, Karsdorp is insisting he isn't available for the club's Japan tour.
