Karius on Liverpool exit: I want to prove something to myself

Liverpool goalkeeper Loris Karius feels ready for his next move.

Karius spent last season on-loan with Union Berlin, where he struggled to get off the bench for the Bundesliga outfit.

The German could start preseason on Merseyside, though will be on the move this summer.

He told BILD: "I think I'm physically better than ever. I've made well over 200 top division games in my career and have international experience. I neither have to be developed nor introduced, all automatisms are firmly anchored - I don't need a new start-up time now."

On his next move, Karius also said: “I want to prove something to myself and the people. I'm extremely hungry and motivated.

“It is important to me that it fits. The club has to be up for it, I have to be up for it and the coach has to be up for it."
