Real Madrid signing Kylian Mbappe will be good for French football, says Christian Karembeu.

The former Real wing-back is counting on the PSG star soon confirming his move.

He told AS: "If Mbappé were to go to Madrid it will be a source of pride for everyone."

Asked if Jude Bellingham had surprised him, Karembeu also said: "No, not at all. He had a great season with Borussia Dortmund and had already distinguished himself with England in the youth team. He adapted very quickly to the Bundesliga and he did the same here.

"He had already internalized that ability to adapt, both to the culture of the country than to the game."
